King’s Casino to remain shut until 1 September

“Uncharted Territory” is what the World Health Organization (WHO) warned the world about. It almost seems like the pandemic COVID-19 has no end but the governement around the world have been taking strict measures to contain the virus from spreading further.

Now with the overwhelming number of deaths, casinos that tend to attract huge number of visitors are mostly shut worldwide. The largest casino in Europe, King’s Casino located in Czech Republic today announced that it will remain close to all visitors until 1 September 2020.

It was a month ago, that King’s Casino announced its plan to close doors to all Italian players as Italy right now has over 115k positive cases with about 13k deaths. Additionally, it was only two months ago that some of our Indian players flew to the King’s to compete in TIPS 2020. Other than that the casino also hosted WSOP Europe, MILLIONS Main Events and other major events.

The Czech crisis team managing the outbreak response have announced that the border closure would be subject to a “multi-month ban… but at least six months.” Czech was one of the first countries to completely lockdown, closing its borders and restricting itself from coronavirus cases. Right now the region is reported to have over 3,000 cases.

While the casino may remain shut, the staffs will be paid in full until at least 1 September said Leon Tsoukernik (picture above). “Unfortunately, we also have to assume that it can still take a few months before we can welcome our guests from abroad, especially from the German-speaking region, again at King’s.” the latest statement on King’s Facebook page said. “We will definitely keep you posted as soon as we know more!
