G2 Esports Face Defeat In LVP Valorant Rising Series

According to a report by Sportskeeda, G2 Esports had made it to the round-of-16 quite easily. They faced Team Finest in a best-of-three tie in the final round of the qualifier stage. Ascent, Icebox and Bind were the three maps that were selected for the match. But, G2  Esports lost to Team Finest, thereby ending their journey on Valorant Rising Series.

G2 Esports recently failed to make an impression in the Valorant Champions Tour EMEA Stage 2. G2 Esports also stated that they were going to part ways with Ardis ‘Ardiis’ Svarenieks, Aleksander ‘Zeek’ Zygmunt, and Patryk ‘Patitek’ Fabrowski from their Valorant roster.

Further reports stated that G2 Esports signed Auni ‘Avova’ Chahade, Žygimantas ‘Nukkye’ Chmieliauskas and Jose Luis Aranguren ‘Koldamenta’ Herrero for the LVP Valorant Rising Series. It was the first tournament in which the new squad was participating.

Sportskeeda further reported that the LVP Valorant Rising Series was one of the most important Valorant competitions in Spain. The series had a total of 256 teams. Reports stated that only 8 teams qualified for the main event.

Further reports stated that Team Finest defeated G2 Esports with a 13-11 scoreline in the Bind map and took the lead in the tie. Whereas in the second map of Ascent, G2 Esports responded very quickly and won the match with a 13-8 scoreline. But Team Finest made a strong comeback and secured the third map with a 13-8 scoreline. They won the tie by a 2-1 margin, thus qualifying for the main event and putting an end to G2 Esports’ journey in LVP Valorant Rising Series.

According to a report by Sportskeeda, G2 Esports had won many laurels in the year 2020, 7 straight titles to be precise. But reports stated that they failed to continue their momentum this year. Further reports stated that G2 Esports had changed their roster to prepare for the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3. But losing against Team Finest in the LVP Valorant Rising Series was surely going to affect the upcoming tournaments.
