Weekends on Spartan Poker means Millionaire tournament! Boasting INR 1 Crore GTD, the three-day long The Millionaire event concluded Day 1A last night. A total of 461 runners joined the field that whittled down to witness 57 players progressing to Day 2. Carrying the largest stack of 346,464 was ‘D. Carwin1’ followed by ‘nutskibhookh’ bagging 309,099 chips and Ankit Kapoor aka helter_skelter in the third place with 227,492 chips.
Day 1B is scheduled to take place on 29 August at 6 pm.
Spartan Poker’s The Elite INR 35 Lakh GTD came with a buy-in of INR 11,000 and the tourney drew 365 entries. In no time, the guarantee was smashed, accumulating a prize pool worth INR 36.50 Lakhs. Taking home the lion’s chunk of prize money was circuit reg Naresh Veravalli aka ‘FreeFlow’ who defeated ‘AdrenALLINeRush’ in heads-up and clinched to the Friday title along with the first-place cash prize.
Fridays on PokerBaazi is popular for the INR 3,300 buy-in The Ridge INR 10 Lakhs GTD. The event garnered a field of 291 entries and the money reached the top 36 places. Gaurav Sood aka ‘gaug17’ grabbed the lion’s share of the prize pool, earning INR 2.21 Lakhs in top prize after eliminating ‘AK10JQ’ in heads-up who secured INR 1.55 Lakhs. On Wednesday, Sood outlasted 169 entries and pocketed INR 2.70 Lakhs in prize money.
The Ballers INR 25 Lakhs GTD on Adda52 logged in a player pool of 331 entries (including 162 re-entries) for a buy-in of INR 7,500. The top 34 players took home INR 17,500 as min-cash, but the largest chunk of prize money belonged to a mystery player ‘whodahellru’. The winner bagged INR 5.18 Lakhs in first prize while Lakshpal Singh aka ‘BoomTilt23’ finished runner-up for INR 4.85 Lakhs. Siddhanth Kripalani aka ‘Sidstack’ earned INR 2.75 Lakhs for 3rd place.
Adda52’s INR 4 Lakhs GTD Moonlight commenced at 9:30 pm last night pulling in 295 runners. Each one paid INR 1,800 which generated a prize pool of INR 4.83 Lakhs. Racing ahead a host of regs was ‘pocketbullets’ who conquered the field and clinched to the first place cash prize of INR 99,094. Pratibh Saluja aka ‘MrGTO’ who has been running deep for quite sometime, secured the second place payout of INR 98,539.
Friday flagship tourney Uppercut INR 10 Lakh GTD kicked off on PokerStars India last night. A total of 266 entries joined the event after paying INR 4,400 that contributed to INR 10.64 Lakhs in prize pool. Circuit grinder Harsh Dembla aka ‘kakori kabab’ triumphed to add INR 83,502 to his illustrious poker bankroll after eliminating ‘flipper595’ in heads-up.
The INR 2,750 buy-in event garnered a field of 144 entries to Friday Euphoria INR 5 Lakhs GTD. The champion was crowned in Vaibhav Sharma aka ‘GTO_LIFE_GG’ who knocked out ‘vaisaarav’ in heads-up and grabbed the first place cash prize of INR 98,956. The latter settled in the second place for INR 75,065.
