Forca Goa Foundation And Delta Corp Collaborate For Community Sports

Delta Corp CSR continues its longstanding association with the Forca Goa Foundation, dedicated to fostering community engagement and enhancing sporting infrastructure in Goa. Today marks a significant milestone as the Forca Goa Foundation, in collaboration with Delta Corp, inaugurates its third state-of-the-art pitch, exclusively designed for the St Anthony’s High School.

The launch ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Honourable Minister for Sports, Arts and Culture, Rural Development Agency, Shri Govind Gaude; Shri. Kedar Naik, MLA Saligao Constituency, Vice Chairman GSIDC; Manoj Jain, Chief Operating Officer of Delta Corp; and Akshay Tandon, Founder of Forca Goa Foundation. Their presence reflects a collective commitment to promoting community well-being and creating opportunities for youth through sports.

The Honourable Minister for Sports, Arts and Culture, Shri Govind Gaude, commended the collaborative efforts, saying, “I am pleased to witness the inauguration of yet another initiative that contributes to the development of sports infrastructure in Goa. The partnership between Delta Corp and Forca Goa Foundation sets a commendable example of private-sector collaboration for the greater good. This project aligns with our vision of creating a conducive environment for budding athletes and promoting sports at the grassroots level.”

Earlier this year, the Forca Goa Foundation, with the support of Delta Corp, inaugurated two state-of-the-art pitches at Guirim. The newly unveiled turf at Monte de Guirim School adds another dimension to the Foundation’s Fields of Dreams project, aimed at providing world-class sports facilities to communities across Goa.

Akshay Tandon, Founder of Forca Goa Foundation, expressed his gratitude, stating, “Today’s inauguration represents a crucial step in our ongoing efforts to break barriers and make quality football infrastructure accessible to all. We are particularly proud of the positive impact this Fields of Dreams project has had on over 1,500 students at Monte de Guirim, transforming their experience in sports and contributing to remarkable successes, especially in hockey. The school’s U-17 girls’ team, supported by the Foundation, proudly represented Goa at the national level.”

Tandon further added, “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Honourable Minister, Shri Govind Gaude, Shri. Kedar Naik, Mr. Manoj Jain, and all our esteemed guests for taking time out of their busy schedules to join us today. Together, we are building a future where Goa thrives with sporting opportunities, making it a better place for all.”
