Famous AceJack stable now PokerGuru Staking

In March 2017, the poker community saw a new stable emerging in the scene– the AceJack stable. Created by Varanasi-based poker pro Abhishek Jalan, AceJack was the first ever live poker staking stable in India. There was special coaching offered, where up and coming talents were also staked, helping them realize their dreams.

This was all part of Jalan’s masterplan. He founded AceJack stable to help budding players reach new unconquered summits and flourish in the scene. The stable attracted a large crowd, given Jalan’s stature in the community, and is still running successfully.

Jalan later inducted community veterans Rishabh JainKartik Ved and Shravan Chhabria to operate the stable. While other two parted ways after a few months, Ved stayed on and subsequently became a manager and is currently in-charge of the daily stable business.

With such a top brass linked to the stable, the growth trajectory went up and saw many lesser known players rise to the top. Jalan later included Vikram ‘Lungi’ Kumar into the mix. Kumar was the team manager and mentor for GPL’s Chennai Sharks and has a lot of experience in operating poker rooms. The team figured that he was a perfect fit for the stable and made the decision and it paid off quite rapidly.

A little while later, India’s first PokerStars Team Pro Aditya Agarwal joined the stable, offering his vast experience accumulated from years of playing poker across the globe. The stable now boasts an impressive line-up of players who have been staked and coached. These include Jayjit Ray, Vivek SinghNadeem BashaGokul RajAshish AhujaAshish MunotRishabh JainRatul Steves, Spartan’s IOPC Mega Stack winner Mithun Mahesh, Tathagata Sengupta, Rohit Mishra and others. All these players have gone on to win major titles on various platforms. Ved himself has progressed quite rapidly over the past few months and showcased his skills by shipping Spatan Super Series Main Event  for recently.

The stable saw its founder Jalan part ways in November last year. Since Jalan’s exit from the stable, the remaining stable members found it easy to rebrand it as PokerGuru Staking. PokerGuru was founded by Agarwal’s brother Rajat Agarwal and about this development, he said, “I am really excited to welcome Vikram and Kartik along with all the players staked by them as part of PokerGuru’s extended family.”  Although the name has been rebranded the daily operations and the executive rank of the stable will still stay the same.

Agarwal concluded the announcement on PokerGuru by saying, “I sincerely hope that this collaboration will be fruitful for both brands, along with bringing a positive boost to the poker community. This is first of many more exciting announcements to come from PokerGuru, all you have to do is stay tuned.

The AceJack Stable players have all accomplished great feats in live events in the past. Jalan himself shipped the 2018 WPT India SuperStack event recently for over INR 17 Lakhs. Another accomplished stable player Munot also won the BLT Kickoff Bounty last year and earned a good score there. With live events making a rare appearance in this country, the freshly minted PokerGuru Staking will be looking to add a few more wins to their respectable record in the first live event of 2019 – Deltin Poker Tournament – which is scheduled to take place between 7-11 February.
