Enjoy a day of PLO in Spartan’s Spot Light Seres

Poker and No Limit Hold’em are almost synonymous in this country and everywhere in the world. The format has been the cornerstone of this game since its inception. In recent times, alternate variants of poker like Short Deck, OFC, etc. have acquired much popularity, and among those is Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO).

For those who enjoy PLO, one of the important factors for them is the extended range of combinations the variant offers. Players can make hands using 4 hole-cards instead of 2 in NLHE. One of India’s foremost poker websites Spartan Poker has kept all this in mind and introduced PLO Spot Light Series for this month, a 2^nd iteration of the series that was inaugurated last month.

The series is a one-day event which will pan out on 18^th May 2019, and all tournaments are in the PLO format. There will be a total of 5 tournaments scheduled on the day with buy-ins ranging from INR 55 to INR 22,000, all of which can be seen on Spartan’s client. The series is perfect for mid-stakes grinders who are looking to improve their bankroll and who also love playing PLO.

The PLO series is part of Spartan’s Mystery Thursday, whereby every Thursday in April the platform hosts something unqiue for their user-base. The biggest tournament of the series, PLO #5 High Roller INR 15 Lakhs GTD, will be the last one for the day, starting at 9 pm on the day. Last month’s series also had the same schedule and the HR was won by Sumit Sapra aka ‘holla@yoboy’ for INR 4.95 Lakhs.

Here is the complete schedule of the series:

1. PLO #1 INR 10,000 GTD (INR 55 RE) – 2 pm
2. PLO #2 INR 40,000 GTD (INR 275 RE) – 4 pm
3. PLO #3 INR 1,20,000 GTD (INR 880 RE) – 6 pm
4. PLO #4 INR 6,00,000 GTD (INR 5,500 RE) – 7.30 pm
5. PLO #5 INR 15,00,000 GTD (INR 22,000 RE) – 9 pm

Apart from Sapra’s spot-light finish in last month’s PLO series, significant community players like Chirag Sodha, Induprakash Mishra and Deepak Singh were among the winners. This time too, the event will attract many regs and pros of the scene and repeat its previous success.
