DPT May 2024: Shaurya Kohli Ships Mini Highroller

The highly anticipated Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) May 2024 Mini Highroller tournament has concluded with a thrilling victory for Shaurya Kohli. Overcoming a field of 217 entries, Kohli emerged triumphant, securing his first DPT title and an impressive ₹13,69,806 for his first-place finish.

Despite starting the final table as the shortest stack, Kohli showcased exceptional poker skills throughout the event. He made an immediate impact, eliminating Vineet Kumar in eighth place, followed by taking down Mandar Madaye (6th – ₹3,39,236) and Arjun Raghani (5th – ₹4,48,469).

Kohli’s dominance continued as he busted Karan Sitlani in fourth place (₹5,92,876). After eliminating WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant in third place (₹7,83,783), Kohli entered the heads-up match with a commanding chip lead of 81.7 Million chips against Sagar Raj’s 27.4 Million chips.

Although Raj put up a valiant fight, Kohli ultimately prevailed after a lengthy heads-up battle. Raj’s impressive performance earned him ₹10,36,161 for his runner-up finish.

The final hand that sealed Kohli’s victory saw Raj move all-in from the big blind with J♦ 5♣, and Kohli making the call holding 10♣ 8♣. The board ran out 9♥ A♥ 8♠ 9♠ 3♣, giving Kohli two pairs and the Mini High roller title.
