DPT May 2024: Naveen Kumar Nails Micro Main Event 

The Micro Main Event at the ongoing Deltin Poker Tournament  (DPT) was nailed by Naveen Kumar. This player emerged victorious from a field of 345 total entries. Kumar beat poker veteran Shravan Chhabria heads-up. In the final hand of heads-up, the community cards fell as: 6♣ 9♣ 8♠ J♠ 3♥ and Kumar’s J6o held against Chhabria’s KJs. The Micro Main Event champ had a payday of ₹8,84,850 while the runner-up took a pay cheque of ₹6,24,600.

DPT May 2024 – Micro Main Event 

This DPT May 2024 tourney had a buy-in of ₹16,500 and the starting stack was 20K. This event had two starting flights with Day 2 concluding on 23rd May 2024. The late registration ended at the start of Level 9. The top 43 places were paid and the min-cash stood at ₹26,025. Apart from Chhabria and Kumar other players on the final table included names like Vikhayat Ahlawat, Gopal Bajaj, Anish Arora, NPS 2024 gold medalist Deepak Singh, Himalaya Tarani and Himanshu Arora.

Talking about the ongoing DPT May 2024 series, many well-known names from the Indian poker industry have marked their attendance. Not just the pros, even recreational players have travelled to Goa for this massively popular live poker series. With DPT launching its biggest schedule ever for its 16th edition, players are super excited to be a part of this poker fiesta. 

So far, we have seen players like Ritik Khanna, Karan Vohra, and Harshdev Jhirmiria scooping top titles at the ongoing DPT series. This was the first time when Jhirmiria nailed a DPT trophy (Highroller). Many players are battling it out for the coveted DPT May 2024 trophies with all eyes being on the prestigious Main Event. This marquee tournament kicked off on 23rd May at 1 PM. In all, the Main Event has three starting day flights with Day 2 all set to begin on Sunday, 26th May 2024.
