Playing cards have become an inseparable part of society, especially in India. From a pass-time to an important part of our culture, cards have found a way into every aspect of Indian life. What you and I would probably do with a pack of beautiful, printed cards is immediately shuffle and begin playing.
Use 1,100 cards and make the tallest free-standing house of cards measuring 7.86 m (25 feet 9 7/16 inches). Berg built this cards structure on 16 October 2007 in Texas, USA. Berg was taught to make cards structures by his grandfather when he was eight years old.
Take a look at how Berg stacks his cards:
Bryan got hooked to this practice, and over the years he raised that pastime to a fine art. Academically, Berg has a Professional Degree in Architecture from Iowa State University and a Masters Degree in Design Studies from Harvard University. In order to master this skill, he went onto learn a few basic tips to master his skill. He started using cheaper packs, as expensive playing cards have a smoother and glossier surface which have the tendency to slip more easily.
In 1992, Berg finally won the Guinness World Records title to construct the tallest house cards, which stood at 4.42 m (14 ft 6 in) high. At that time he was 19 years old. Seven years later, he created one more free-standing house of cards measuring 7.71 m (25 ft 3 in) tall and comprised 91,800 cards. Altogether, Bryan has broken his own 1992 record for the tallest house of cards nine times until now.
This person truly loves cards but not for the game like we do. Some way or the other, cards will always be a part of our families, societies and ecosystem. To know more about cards and Guinness World Record Title holders keep reading GutshotMagazine.com
