Dilip Thatiya is UP Indians Pro Hunt Qualifier From Spartan

Bangalore-based Dilip Thatiya who plays under the moniker ‘Rottweiler’ emerged victorious in the UP Indians Pro Hunt competition held by TheSpartanPoker. The site is the title sponsor of Match Indian Poker League’s UP Indians team which is managed by Spartan Ace Abhishek Jalan and Anup Palod, both well known names from the domestic circuit. 

Thatiya was born and brought up in Madhya Pradesh where completed his studies till Class XII from A.N.M.E.S. St. Paul, Khandwa. Speaking about his poker journey, he said, “I began playing on Facebook Zynga where I hooked up with the game and then first started playing on Deccan poker for real money. As time passed I started playing on other sites like Thrill Poker, Khelo365, TheSpartanPoker, Adda52.com and PokerBaazi. But I believe my poker game is improving on TheSpartanPoker only. I am giving my time playing tournaments on all the sites to improve myself. I recently have started grinding 9-10 hours per day playing tournaments as Match IPL is a big platform. I know it’s really challenging so putting my best effort and trying to avoid mistakes and improving game play is a must.”

Talking about his preferred mode of play, Thatiya said, “I am basically a tournament player but I do play cash games as well and it’s good that I have started making profits from every site.”

On his journey to become a UP Indian Pro, “My experience for UP Indians Pro Hunt was great!! The tournament was initially good but after some time I started getting bad beats; still I tried my best till the time I came into a good position.”
