Poker pro Daniel Negreanu is often making headlines by sharing regular updates about his grind, his thoughts and his interests. This time again, he has made a tweet sharing his views on sharing his poker wealth with his friends.
DNegs shared that after he cashed $8.7 million at the One Drop event at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), he received many queries that asked him about how much he had of the $8.7 million for himself and how much of it he shared. “Most common question I got when I cashed for $8.7 million in the One Drop was, ‘How much of myself did I have?,” he said.
He revealed that he got only 56% of the total amount for himself. He added that he sold a huge chunk of it (44%) to a few ‘lucky’ friends. He further revealed that he plans to similarly share his wealth and stake his action at the upcoming PokerMasters and Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB) poker series.

56%
Sold a large piece to a few very lucky friends of mine.
No shame in sharing the wealth and I plan to at PokerMasters and SHRB!

A player named ‘Digit10’ replied on DNegs’ tweet saying “As a professional gambler, I’m assuming you have to keep extremely detailed breakdowns for tax purposes. Right? Maybe someone has done one but I’d love to see a breakdown of how pro poker players track this stuff for tax purposes.”

One of his fans, who was also a dealer at the 2010 WSOP, also took this opportunity to praise their favourite poker star, “Heart, you have to have it in poker and you have to have it everyday in your life. @THEREALKIDPOKER has both! but… when I’m at the table don’t talk to me! lol Thx for what all you guys did for poker. I just wanted to reach out to let you know. Dealer 2010 WSOP.” (sic)
