‘cosco11’ ships the SSS Super HighRoller on Spartan

Without a doubt, there was huge excitement over the start of the penultimate Spartan Super Series (SSS) poker tournament of last night on The Spartan Poker. There were four tournaments played prior to this one but for all the best pros in India, this was the one to watch out for. The SSS Super High Roller.

Of course, SSS Event #20 Super HighRoller 50 Lakh GTD was a tournament that only the best would enter, with a huge buy-in of INR 55,000. Even with this high buy-in, the guarantee was broken, and a giant prize pool of INR 58,50,000 was created thanks to a field of 117 entries that registered to the tournament.

However, only the top 12 finishers would walk away with a profit, being guaranteed a minimum prize of INR 1,31,625. It was an extremely long grind which surely took a toll on the players, beginning at 9:30pm last night and ending today morning at 7:38am. It was a survival of the fittest and ‘cosco11’ turned out to be the fittest on the night, walking away with the mega top prize of INR 16,67,250!

The player beat ‘gettingthere’ in heads-up of this tournament, which was one of the highlight tournaments of the series, and this player was also rewarded handsomely, getting paid out INR 10,82,250 for finishing second. In the final hand, cosco11 hit a Ten to Ace straight to beat his opponent’s Aces and Queens.

Another pro on the Final Table was Sumit Sapra aka ‘mrgr33n’, who finished third for INR 7.89 lakh. Anirban Das aka ‘pokernoob’ also finished in the money while popular player Sahil Agarwal aka ‘Nasheyy’ unfortunately became the bubble boy. Remember, Sapra has already won two titles in this edition of the SSS and with this performance, he has furthered his lead on the SSS Leaderboard, where INR 10 lakh is being given away, including INR 4 lakh to the top finisher. Clearly, Sapra looks to be a strong favourite for that top prize now. Updated SSS Day 4 Leaderboard:
