Conor Benn Claims Chris Eubank Jr. Has 4 Million Pounds Poker Debt to Soccer Player Neymar Jr

Conor Benn is clashing with Chris Eubank Jr. in the ring in April 2025, and for some reason, this prize fight is bound to make waves in the poker world. During a recent media interaction, Benn called out his opponent and brought in popular footballer Neymar Jr., debts and poker. Essentially, he said that Eubank Jr. accepted the bout because he owed 4 Million Pounds to the soccer player.

Trash-talking during media junkets by boxers is nothing new, but eyebrows are raised because the name of a famous player and a beloved game are now involved. Neymar is a pretty proficient poker player who has grabbed headlines now and then for his poker exploits.

Conor Benn vs. Chris Eubank Jr. is one of the biggest sports spectacles to take place in a ring. And there is some controversy brewing already. Their first bout, set for 2022, was cancelled after Benn failed multiple drug tests. The upcoming event is billed as ‘The Fatal Fury’ and will take place on 26 April 2025 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. Rumours about the upcoming fight have been cooking since 2022. The fathers of the two boxers had a mercurial rivalry back in the nineties.

Neymar Jr. has been a consistent player, too, and has consistently been on winners lists since 2016. On the other hand, Eubank Jr’s only recorded live poker game is the Neymar Jr. and Friends Invitational in 2022. It remains to be seen where this conversation goes and whether it goes further.
