The first tournament attracted 212 players, each entering for a buy-in of $440. Battling this field, only 27 advanced to play further on Day 2. A prize pool of $84,799 was created and the top players received a paycheck. The field further narrowed down to final 3. At one stage, Lai Heng Foo held Qd Qs, Sun Ad 5d and Michael Wood Ad 5d. It was an incredible night for Sun as the board was in favour of diamonds, giving him an opportunity to shine with his flush and eliminate Wood in 3rd place.
5 intense hours is how long heads-up went on for. Foo tried to take the lead once, doubled-up twice but his efforts did not last long. Eventually, Sun lifted the trophy, pocketing $19,983 in prize money and pushing the former to the runner-up position.
It was just yesterday that Dhaval Mudgal finished 3rd in the APT Vietnam Championships Event. Indian participants keep moving from one location to the other, covering each corner of the globe. Day 2 saw 3 Indians in contention and all three of them cashed including Rajneesh Katoch (8th), Raju Jaruplavath (9th) and Paawan Bansal (20th for $987).

The second tournament of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Cambodia kicked off at 1:30pm local time – Main Event Warm-Up. Day 1 allowed single re-entry, registering 95 players, with each chipping in $1,100. A prize pool of $92,150 was created while the winner will be rewarded the biggest share of $29,234. Amassing the largest stack was Tamaz Kogovsek with 263,500 chips. The competition had several familiar faces in contention and one such player representing India was Kartik Ved with 198,500 chips. With 20 remaining players, Day 2 of the Main Event Warm-Up is scheduled to commence today, 18 November at 1 pm local time.

Registering a total number of 52 entries on Day 1 of Nagaworld Cup, each player entered for a buy-in of $330. It was Sweden’s Alexander Hoglind, who topped the field and bagged 178,000 chips. The tournament also saw India’s Chakshu Deep Raina with 116,000 chips in 3rd place.
