Celebrity DJ Steve Aoki Is The New WPT Ambassador

The World Poker Tour (WPT) has now added American disco jockey (DJ) Steve Aoki as their latest brand ambassador. With season XX of the WPT just around the corner, the addition of Aoki has made a huge splash. 

The WPT recently announced the dates for its 2022 edition. The tour kick-starts on 21st January. The events will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. 

DJ Aoki is one of the most popular celebrity DJs who has 8.2 million followers on Twitter. The 44-year old American is seen regularly performing at some of the best nightclubs located in Las Vegas as well as across the world. With Aoki on board, WPT is looking at creating more brand awareness. This association will help the brand attract new audiences to play in the poker series.

“It’s such an honour to be joining the WPT family. I have watched and admired the WPT for many, many years, and to now be part of the WPT family; it feels so surreal and I am incredibly grateful,” Aoki said in a press release.

According to a press note, Aoki’s association with WPT will help raise WPT’s brand awareness. Considering his popularity among the masses and his social media fame, that would not be much of a concern for the brand. The musician and record producer is currently touring in the United States.

Along with being a DJ, Aoki is also an avid poker player. He has been often seen competing against his friend and GGPoker ambassador Dan Bilzerian at the Hollywood games. The celebrity DJ was also seen competing in a few episodes of Poker After Dark on PokerGO along with Bilzerian last year.
