Brazilian Players Shine Bright At 888poker XL Spring Series Events

The ongoing 888poker XL Spring series saw three exciting poker events on May 31st 2021. The event saw Brazilian poker pros emerge victorious at two events and finish second at the third event. 

The three events of this $1 million guarantee series were all rebuy events. Brazilian poker players Joao Pedro ‘jpsalgadocr0’ Rocha and ‘D.AQUINO92’ won the XL Spring #5 – $20,000 R&A Event and the XL Spring #6 – $8,000 Mini R&A event respectively. The title for the third event of the day XL Spring #7 – $8,000 Late R&A was claimed by United Kingdom’s player ‘Invented21st.’

The first event of the day was the XL Spring #5 – $20,000 R&A Event, which saw 342 entries, 218 rebuys and 128 add-ons. The final prize pool of this event was $20,640 which mildly surpassed the advertised guarantee. The seven-hour long game was won by Joao Pedro ‘jpsalgadocr0’ Rocha who added $3,982 to his bankroll. The second and third positions at the table were claimed by Romania’s ‘Ii1Ii1’ ($2,881) and Sweden’s ‘Mulen99’ ($2,097).

The XL Spring #6 – $8,000 Mini R&A event had 647 entries, 416 rebuys, and 246 add-ons. It was one of the cheapest events with a buy-in of just $5.50. Brazil’s ‘D.AQUINO92’ clinched the title with $1,306 in his pockets. Another Brazilian ‘igorfoliver’ settled for the runner-up spot with $952 in prize money. While Lithuania’s ‘RZ_LT’ finished third for $698.

The third event was the XL Spring #7 – $8,000 Late R&A which witnessed 300 entries, 232 rebuys and 123 add-ons with a $11 buy-in. United Kingdom’s ‘Invented21st’ ended Brazil’s winning streak for the day by defeating Brazil’s ‘BrunoZika1’ for $1,622. The Brazilian secured the runner-up’s spot taking home $1,172 in prize money. Germany’s ‘IMMMBored’ finished third for $852.

The 888poker’s XL Spring series has total 25 events lined-up. The series will take place from May 30th, 2021 to June 6th, 2021. The series has events that have buy-in ranging from $5.50 up to $320.  The GTDs at these events range from $8,000 up to $5,00,000.
