‘borntrouble’ Beats Labroo To Bag PokerBaazi’s Endeavour

Yesterday was a high-stakes and an adrenaline-rushing affair on PokerBaazi. The well-reputed platform saw a large flock of poker enthusiasts signing up for a variety of events on offer on their site. Among them was the feature tournament of Tuesday, The Endeavour ₹12 Lakhs GTD and the turn-out for this tournament exceeded expectations, shattering the guarantee.

Last night’s Endeavour attracted a total of 401 entries (204 re-entries), a huge playing field comparatively. Looks like the only thing on everyone’s mind on the first day of 2019 was playing poker on PokerBaazi. The buy-in of ₹3,850 for this tournament was coughed up individually to create a staggering fresh guarantee of ₹14,03,500. The tournament began at the usual 8 pm on PokerBaazi and ended late today morning at 3:31 am.

The winner to emerge from this long and tiring grind of over seven and a half hours was player ‘borntrouble’ who bagged the 1st place cash prize of ₹2,38,595 as well as the Endeavour title. He beat the well-known grinder Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkid’ for the win. Labroo took a sizeable cash prize of ₹1,72,630 home. He also finished runner-up in PokerStars India’s Super Tuesday yesterday for a decent pay-check, ending a brilliant night in poker.

Varma is not exactly new to the scene and has cashed in various tournaments previously, on PokerBaazi as well as other well-known platforms in India. This win will also add a significant amount to his bankroll and prepare him for the horde of exciting events lined up in 2019.

With top 38 places being paid, there were some known names to rank in the money too. Finishing 9th was Akash Gupta aka ‘durrrr1310’ for ₹30,175. Sumit Sapra aka ‘boronyx’ also ranked in the money at 15th for ₹18,947, after shipping the DareDevil on Spartan just this weekend.

Mihir Thakkar aka ‘mihirparv’ ranked 25th for ₹15,438. Gaurav Sood aka ‘gaug17’ finished 35th for ₹11,929. Sood was the winner of PokerStars India’s Super Tuesday yesterday for over ₹1.2 Lakhs. Sajal Gupta aka ‘Bloodless’ finished 29th for ₹14,736.
