Bin Weng Wins WPT Player Of The Year Title 

Following a year in which Bin Weng registered five of his biggest tournament career wins, the Chinese-American poker pro has claimed the coveted World Poker Tour (WPT) Player of the Year (POY) title. Based out of Philadelphia, Weng kicked off 2023 by winning the ‘Return at Borgata’ event before registering back-to-back final table finishes at the WPT Champions Club and the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown. 

He won the EveryOne for One Drop and also closed the year by winning the $25,000 High Roller at the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. He ended with 55 cashes in 2023, amongst which 20 were top 10 finishes. According to Hendon Mob, Weng’s total earnings were over $6.6 Million for the year.

Solid performances helped Weng move to the top of the WPT POY leaderboard, which he did not lose to anyone throughout the year. He added to his points tally with a deep run at the WPT Scramble in Jacksonville in November and also cashed in the WPT Prime Championship in December.

The CEO of WPT, Adam Pliska, announced Weng’s win and is quoted by Poker.org saying, “Bin may have put on the best string of achievements that I have seen in a long time.” Weng also spoke to the reporters and claimed how it was one of his dreams to win a WPT title. He went on to add that winning the WPT Player of the Year title is a bonus and is something that he couldn’t have ever imagined.

Bin Weng has recorded over $8.5 Million in total live tournament earnings, which has propelled his net worth to massive heights. While we don’t have any confirmed number yet, one thing is for sure, Bin Weng net worth will receive a good boost after a fantastic outing in 2023.
