‘Billabongg’ Wins Millionaire Title On Spartan Poker

Last night at The Spartan Poker saw another edition of the 1 Crore guaranteed Millionaire tournament take place. A total of 1188 entries participated in this marquee event. Outlasting the field this time, was ‘Billabongg‘, who won the title for the top prize money of INR 25 Lakhs. The top 120 places were paid out in this event with a min-cash of INR 20,000. That’s not all, as a result of this win, ‘Billabongg’ also earned enough points to move up to the 3rd place on the Spartan’s monthly tournament leaderboard. That’s an additional INR 75,000 that can scored if this player tops the leaderboard by the end of the month. 

By the end of the 10 hours, it was down to heads up between ‘Billabongg’ and ‘-boOYaH-‘. While the latter gave a tough fight to ‘Billabongg’, it couldn’t go all the way. By the time the final hand occured, ‘Billabongg’ held a solid 3:1 lead over his opponent. The final hand saw ‘Billabongg’ being dealt 4d 4s and ‘-boOYaH-‘ who held Ad 6d, decided those suited cards with an Ace were good enough for calling off Billabongg’s all-in. The board spread out 4h Td 3h Ks 2h giving three of a kind, Fours to ‘Billabongg’ to win his first ever Millionaire title. ‘-boOYaH-‘ would have to be content with the sweet INR 15 Lakhs payout for finishing runner-up. 

The Millionaire tournament drew a good mix of pros, players and the past champions from across the country. Some of the notables who finished deep in the money included the likes of Sahil ‘ImHighIshove’ Mahboobani made a 7th place finish for INR 1,95,000, Siddharth ‘schemer77’ Karia bubbled the final table making a 9th place finish for INR 1,40,000 and Delhi’s Jagdeep ‘Nodus Tollens’ Singh who took 11th place for INR 60,000.
