Avadh Shah Is Natural8 India x APT Taipei Exclusive Champion

Indian poker player Avadh Shah has made the Indian poker community proud by shipping a prestigious event at the ongoing APT Taipei 2025. Avadh Shah shipped the Natural8 India x APT Taipei Exclusive Champion trophy. Along with the prize money, Avadh also brings home the prestigious and iconic APT trophy. APT Taipei is currently ongoing at the Red Space in Taipei. He took home ₹309,919 (~$3,632) and also won a place at the Main Event. The total prize pool was $18,615 (~₹1,588,400). 

His competitor had  5 ♠A ♣ and Avadh had A ♦ Q ❤ . The table had K ♠3 ♠Q ♠. The river and the flop had J ♣Q ♣. Avadh’s triple queen gave him a strong edge over the competitor. This win certainly means a great deal to Avadh, who has been active for some time but hasn’t seen many cashes. His first live poker cash-out was in 2012, when he took home ₹63,000 at the Double Chance event of the Indian Poker Series, Chapter 16 in Goa, ranking 2nd.

Since then, he has won multiple cashes at the World Series of Poker in 2020 and 2021, as well as at the Deltin Poker Tournament in 2022 and 2024. At the time of writing this article, he has seen 13 cashes to date. His best live cash was $6,806 at the 11K Warmup Event of the Deltin Poker Tournament in 2022, where he finished 2nd. With Avadh’s win, there is further proof that the young poker player possesses the skill and confidence to compete with some of the biggest names in the industry. It remains to be seen where the Asian Poker Tour champion decides to strike.

Natural8 India x APT Taipei Exclusive Final Table

APT Taipei is gearing up to become one of the biggest tournament series in Asia. This time around, the main attraction is the APT Main Event, which features a TWD 70 Million (~$2.1 Million) GTD.  The series featured the APT National Cup and other exciting events, including the APT Super High Roller, as well as a Mystery Bounty Hunter event. It also features a Zodiac Classic, which begins on May 11th, with a TWD 20 Million Guaranteed Tournament (GTD).  A total of 12 lucky winners of APT Taipei 2025 will receive tickets to the APT Championship Main Event, which will run from 14th to 30th November, 2o25. The tournament has a TWD 165 Million (~$5 Million GTD).
