Avadh Shah Wins 2nd Title At Big Bounty Event Of APT Taipei 2025

Indian poker player Avadh Shah has struck twice in a single tournament. He has now secured two titles at the prestigious Asian Poker Tour series, APT Taipei 2025, raising his profile on the poker scene in just a matter of days. He has now shipped the Big Bounty event at the APT Taipei 2025.

He took home TWD 689,900 ($569,000) (~₹4 Crore) in an event that saw 136 cash-outs. The total number of players was 173. The total prize pool was TWD 2,906,400. This was a bounty event, and players who eliminated any others would get TWD 10,000 as a bonus. 

APT Taipei 2025 Big Bounty Event Top 5 Winners

This is Avadh’s second win in the series, and is definitely something that buoys not just him but the entire Indian poker fraternity. He recorded his first live poker cash in 2012, finishing 2nd in the Double Chance event at the Indian Poker Series, Chapter 16 in Goa, and earning ₹63,000. Since then, he has secured multiple cashes at the World Series of Poker in 2020 and 2021, along with notable finishes at the Deltin Poker Tournament in both 2022 and 2024. As of this writing, he has achieved 15 live cashes.

His highest live earnings to date are $6,806, which came from a 2nd place finish in the 11K Warmup Event at the 2022 Deltin Poker Tournament. Avadh’s recent victory further reinforces his growing reputation as a skilled and confident player capable of taking on some of the biggest names in the game. All eyes are now on where the Asian Poker Tour champion will make his next move.

​The Asian Poker Tour (APT) has returned to Taipei for its highly anticipated 2025 festival, running from 25th April to 4th May at the newly established Red Space venue.
