Aussie Millions 2018 Kicks Off Next Week

The Aussie Millions is the biggest poker tournament series in Australia, which was earlier known as the Australian Poker Championship and then also the Crown Australian Poker Championship. The tournament series is being held since 1998 and the 2018 Aussie Millions is now almost upon us.

The series will take place at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia, and will run between 17th January and 5th February 2018. Over the years, the Aussie Millions has turned out to be a must play series for most serious poker players from around the world. The schedule for the 2018 series is now out and it will feature three high roller events and a million dollar (AUD) guarantee opening event.

A total of 26 events have been lined up, with high as well as low buy-in tournaments, so that poker players from all walks of life can participate. The three high roller events with buy-ins AUD 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000 will surely be exciting but the highlight of the series will be the AUD 10,600 buy-in main event which will begin on 28th January.

While the tournament doesn’t usually attract a lot of Indian players, Indian female pro Nikita Luther will be seen in action at the Aussie Millions, having already sold a package for the tournament series. She had a fantastic 2017 and will be looking at starting 2018 well in Australia. While she will be participating in quite a few events, she will miss out on the main event due to Poker Sports League commitments in India.
