Asian Poker Tour Announces APT Championship 2025

Asian Poker Tour is all set to take the poker scene by storm. The company has already announced two prestigious tournaments for the summer of 2025. They have now dropped another major news – the APT Championship 2025.

According to their social media post, the Championship will take place between 14th and 30th November, 2025, which means poker fans should be gearing up for 17 days of non-stop poker action. Natural8 sponsors the Championship.

The series will take place in Taipei, Taiwan, at the Red Point Business Centre. The Main Event of the series is a unique one – the APTC Main Event freeze-out, with one of the most substantial buy-ins, TWD 350,000 (~$10,700). With such a significant amount as a buy-in, one can only guess what the GTD and prize money will balloon up to.

The total prize amount of the tournament series is TWD 165 Million (~$5 Million). The freeze-out game, which means there are no re-entries, makes every poker decision of the player all the more critical.

The inaugural program took place in Macau, and since then, the brand has continued to grow from strength to strength. There have been multiple events in the Asian region, including Macau, South Korea, Vietnam, India, and Australia.

The APT is already making a significant impact this year, with two major events already scheduled for the summer of 2025: APT Incheon and APT Jeju. With more and more tournament series emerging in Asia, it is becoming the hub of poker action. The skilled players and the GTDs involved make it lucrative for the most prominent players to come to these venues.
