Asian Poker Tour Announces Two Series For The Summer


The Asian Poker Tour is one of the biggest brands in the poker industry, and the brand has released information about its two major poker tournaments: APT Incheon and APT Jeju. 

APT Incheon tournaments will take place at the Paradise City Casino in Incheon from 1st to 10th August. The Main Event of the tournament series has a GTD of KRW 150 Million. APT Jeju will take place from 26th September to 5th October and will be held at Jeju Shinhwa World. The Main Event of the tournament series has a GTD of KRW 220 Million.

This makes both of these tournament series two of the most significant poker events in Asia this year. The series features an intriguing lineup of games, including a Women’s Main Event. Apart from that, there is a Super High Roller event, as well as a Women’s High Roller.

The Asian Poker Tour (APT), established in 2008, has evolved into one of Asia’s premier poker tournament series. Its inaugural event took place in Manila, Philippines, and since then, APT has expanded its footprint across the Asia-Pacific region, hosting events in countries such as Macau, South Korea, Vietnam, India, and Australia.

In 2023, APT Taipei 2023 became the richest poker series ever held in Taiwan, drawing nearly 2,000 players from 42 countries and distributing over TWD 225 Million (approximately $ 7.3 Million) in prize money. 

​APT Taipei 2025 ran from April 25 to May 4 at the newly established Red Space venue.This ten-day festival boasted a guaranteed prize pool exceeding TWD 126 Million (~$5.4 Million) across 126 events.

The Main Event was the festival’s highlight, featuring a TWD 70 Million (~USD 2.1 Million) guarantee with a buy-in of TWD 55,000 (~$1,680). The events were the Superstar Challenge (TWD 800,000 buy-in), Baby Superstar, and the APT Super High Roller. Additionally, three new high-roller events debuted: Pot-Limit Omaha, 9-Game, and a Women’s High Roller event.
