Ashish Munot Ranks 17th At Of Superstar Challenge of USOP Grand Finale 2024

Ashish Munot featured in the ITM list of the Superstar Challenge of the USOP Grand Finale, which concluded the previous night. Benjamin LeBlond of Canada took the prize money of VND 3,235,000,000.

The event saw 127 entries, and the guaranteed prize pool was VND 13,012,420,000, which rose from VND 3,000,000,000. India’s Ashish Munot stood 17th on the ITM list, a formidable achievement, given the number of entries.

The event began on 11th and ended on 12th December. Ashish Munot ranked 17th and took home VND 210,000,000. (₹7,01,871), which is a considerable addition to his bankroll. It remains to be seen where he decides to play next. Munot has been playing fairly well, with his best live cash being $89576 (₹76,03,125) at Event #4 of World Poker Tour WPT India in 2019.

He’s come a long way in the poker world, what with his first cash, according to Hendon Mob, being ₹11,000 at an event in the India Poker Championship (IPC), Panjim, Goa, in 2015. It seems like just a matter of time before Munot will be playing alongside the best in the business, waiting to grab a trophy, title, and something more prestigious.

Indians have been very active at the USOP Grand Finale 2024, with several of them being in the money and some even shipping events. In the Main Event, 7 Indians cashed out.  Prior to that, Kunal Patni made it to the Final Table of the Mini High Roller Event. Prior to that, Ankit Bhansali shipped the Midweek Superstack event.

It is always refreshing to see Indians showing off their skills on international felts, and it inspires aspiring poker players to give their best to achieve their ambitions.

The U Series of Poker Grand Finale was the final leg of the USOP itinerary for 2024. It ran from 29th November to 11th December, with the final events wrapping up the year as well. USOP has had a couple of events this year and has been hosted by some of the most popular locations in Danang and Taiwan. The tournament had GTDs of VND 100 Billion, and almost all the events saw a humongous increase in the final prize pools, adding all the more charm and excitement to them.
