Ashish Ghosh Among The Top Stacks At APPT Mainla 2023 Main Event Day 1BC

Indian-origin player Ashish Ghosh is currently grinding at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) 2023 Manila Main Event. He is playing flight Day 1BC and is currently among the top stacks.

The APPT Manila 2023 Main Event has a buy-in of PHP 65,000. So far, the event has generated a prize pool of $22,414,275, thanks to the 395 entries that registered at this flight. The flight is currently underway with the top 73 players left. 

Ghosh played Day 1A, too; however, he couldn’t make it. Seems like he came prepared for Day 2 and is running pretty deep. He is currently swinging among the top stacks. Another Indian-origin player Animesh Jain is also grinding at the event.

Ghosh is a relatively new player on the live poker circuit. He has five cashes to his name including one poker title, all of them in 2023. Interestingly, he has achieved all of these five results at the same location, Phnom Penh in Cambodia. First at World Poker Tour Prime (WPT) Prime Cambodia, followed by four at Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Cambodia. He won his title at $500 No Limit Hold’em/Pot Limit Omaha event at APPT Cambodia in May 2023, for which he took home $5,787.  

Meanwhile, Indian-origin players Vasa Kaushal, Chirag Shah and Haney Daryanani have already qualified for Day 2 via flight Day 1 A.
