Ashish Ahuja, Abhinav Iyer make Day 3 of Millionaire Maker

13 Indian players took to the felts in Event #19: Millionaire Maker – $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em today at WSOP 2019, including 5 from Day 1A and 8 from Day 1B of the popular tournament. Ashish Ahuja led the Indian contingent from the first starting flight while Abhinav Iyer led the pack from the second flight.

While the rest of the 11 players all busted at some point during the day, these two respective chip leaders fought their way through to Day 3 of the Millionaire Maker tournament, with Ahuja grabbing a much larger stack. By the end of 9 levels scheduled on Day 2, Ahuja bagged 996,000 in chips, putting him among the top 100 stacks, while Iyer progressed with 381,500.

While the other Indians in play couldn’t progress, most of them managed to take a pay-out from the event including Deepak Bothra (382nd – $5,144 – INR 3.57 Lakh), Abhishek Goindi (484th – $4,106 – INR 2.85 Lakh), Neel Joshi (534th – $4,106 – INR 2.85 Lakh), Raghav Bansal (757th – $3,113 – INR 2.16 Lakh), Aditya Sushant (946th – $2,699 – INR 1.87 Lakh), Vivek Rughani (1,101th – $2,421 – INR 1.68 Lakh) and Sriharsha Doddapaneni (1,217th – $2,324 – INR 1.61 Lakh). Others who didn’t manage to cash include Muskan Sethi, Vinod Megalmani, Romit Advani and Prashray Rai.
