APT Taipei 2023 Super High Roller: We Have Our Bubble Boy!

Finally, we have the money bubble at the APT Taipei 2023 Super High Roller. The game saw two players take the exit route in a matter of just five minutes. This Super High Roller game could easily be the fastest money bubble in the history of poker.

It was Vietnamese highroller Ngoc Minh Le who left the game after pushing his last remaining 420,000 chips on the top of the 80,000 open of his rival En-Wing Chen. Le’s A♠ 5♥ were sinking as Chen’s A♦ J♥ kept him ahead.

The flop of  A♥ 2♠ J♣ gave Chen top-two pairs A♥ 2♠ J♣. Le stood up when he saw 8♠ on the turn. Before leaving the table Le had words with Chen that his AJ call should have been a snap call but he slowrolled instead. Chen replied by saying, “I heard you making many remarks of how tight you were so I took my time.” 

The Super High Roller was on the bubble and saw a terribly crippled Keng Yong Tan throw his last 2.5 big blinds into the pot holding Q♠ T♥. He got called by Lam’s Q♣ J♠. The board revealed 9♦ 2♥ 6♠ 9♣ J♥. This meant Tan was the APT Taipei 2023 Super High Roller bubble boy. The Malaysian left the game with utter disappointment on his face. But this also means that remaining players were in the money bubble. It was time  when the survivors could say cheers!
