APT Hanoi 2023: Main Event Live Updates


Day 2 of Asian Poker Tour (APT) Hanoi 2023 is currently underway at the VSOP Club in Hanoi. After three starting flights, the event resumed Day 2 earlier today. Several Indians have made it to Day 2.

The day resumed with 274 entries at Level 11, with blinds 800/1600 and a big blind ante of 1600. The day witnessed more registrations as the game progressed. To top it all, APT is live-streaming the featured table from the Main Event.

Hai Nam Hoang Wins APT Hanoi 2023 Main Event

The coveted APT Hanoi 2023 Main Event was shipped by Vietnamese player Hai Nam Hoang for a sum of VND 2,794,200,000 after striking an ICM deal with Tuan Tai Nguyen. He took home VND 2,100,000,000 in winnings.

Prashant Bhutoria, the only Indian player to advance to Day 3 of the APT Hanoi 2023 Main Event was eliminated in the 27th spot for a payday of ₫89,610,000 (approx. ₹3,13,627).

APT Hanoi 2023 Main Event Day 2 saw the play run for nine and a half levels. From a player pool of 654, 278 entries made it to Day 2. Only 48 survivors have advanced further in the game and will resume Day 3 at 11 AM local time (GMT+6) with German Bukharov as the chip leader (3,046,000 chips). Day 2 of the APT Hanoi 2023 turned out to be one of the busiest Day 2s in the history of the series. The total prize pool stands at total prize pool of ₫15,859,500,000 (₹5,55,56,577) and the Main Event title winner will grab the biggest share of this amazing prize pool. 

When it comes to the Indian contingent grinding at the APT Hanoi 2023 Main Event Day 2, some of the pros were eliminated from the game. While Zarvan Tumboli exited at the 79th spot, World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, Nikita Luther also exited at the 49th spot for ₫59,470,000 (₹2,08,326). Two other popular names from the Indian poker circuit Jasven Saigal and Pranav Bagai were eliminated from the Main Event at the 57th – ₫53,130,000 (approx. ₹1,86,116) and 63rd – ₫53,130,000 (₹1,86,116) respectively. In all 95 players will be paid in this event and the min-cash stands at ₫46,790,000 (approx. ₹1,63,907).

Kunal Patni is out of the APT Hanoi 2023 Main Event race. He was playing pretty tight. He reportedly told APT reporters, “Nothing much happening for me” a few levels earlier.

India’s Jasven Saigal has made his way out of the APT Hanoi 2023 Main Event. Saigal had made it to Day 2 with a stack of 85,700 chips (55BBs).

The late registration for APT Hanoi Main Event has ended and the event has recorded a total entry field of 654 entries across three starting flights and on Day 2. The payouts have been announced. The event has generated a final prize pool of VND 15,859,500,000 (₹5,55,46,895). The winner of the Main Event will walk away with VND 3,025,950,000 (₹1,06,01,791). The top 95 players will get to take home their share of the prize pool with a min-cash of VND 46,790,000 (₹1,63,939).
