APT Hanoi 2023: Kunal Patni And Ritesh Khatwani Ship Titles

The latest news from the Indian contingent grinding at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Hanoi 2023 is that Ritesh Khatwani and Kunal Patni have nailed the top spots and grabbed a brand new APT trophy. Khatwani shipped APT Hanoi 2023 Event 34 Hyper Turbo after beating Ceret Eric for a payday of VND 53,110,000 (₹1,85,902). One of our favourite pros, Kunal Patni also added an APT title to his name. Patni nailed Event 36 Hyper Turbo – 8 Max for a prize money worth ₹4,12,602.

The banker-turned-pro shared this news on his Instagram Story. He wrote in his post, “After 8 years and numerous FTs, finally get my hands on this beauty. Small tournament but they all count #APTHanoi2023!” (sic) We asked Patni about his thoughts on shipping an APT title. He said, “I have made numerous FTs in APT but this beautiful trophy has eluded me. I played this event mainly for the trophy and glad that I can finally add it to my collection.”

Talking about victories at APT Hanoi 2023, poker pro Shardul Parthasarathi and World Series Of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Nikita Luther also shipped tournaments and proudly lifted the coveted APT trophies. Parthasarathi took down Event #27: Single Day High Roller – 8 Max and grabbed a pay cheque of VND 875,615,000 (₹30,63,425). This pro who had nailed the WPT Prime Cambodia 2022 Super High Roller added a second APT title to his kitty. Coming to Luther, this diva nailed the Event 22: NLH – Super Hold’em (3 hole cards) – Hyper Turbo for a payday of VND 85,370,000 (₹2,98,823). 

Not just the above mentioned pros, Spartan Poker pro Zarvan Tumboli is also grinding at this popular live poker series. He finished runner-up at the Kickoff event and took the fifth spot in the Event 25: Hyper Turbo – 8 Max.
