APT goes Crypto with CoinPoker

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) and CoinPoker a worldwide cryptocurrency based online poker room have entered into a 2018 agreement. With the sponsorship, CoinPoker will offer players around the world online satellite packages to APT Main and Super High Roller events. As well as other tournaments, giving players the opportunity to win APT tournament credits that can be used at any APT event.

The tie-up officially begins at the APT Macau Championships 2018 with CoinPoker bringing in their global support. In addition to satellite action, CoinPoker will also sponsor live streaming of selected events; the APT Players Party and Super High Rollers with the expected attendance of poker icon and CoinPoker advisor Antanas Guoga aka Tony G.

“APT event players will now be able to buy in and cash out using CHP, the cryptocurrency developed by and used on CoinPoker,” stated APT General Manager, Lloyd Fontillas.

We see blockchain solutions as the future for poker in Asia, and that goes beyond the use of cryptocurrency to play.
