Ankit Bhansali joins the ranks of the winners of some of the most exciting events in DPT Grand 2024. The young poker player shipped NLH Bounty, taking home ₹4,34,364. The event was successful enough, with more than 100 entries.
This concludes another event at the DPT Grand, one of the most talked-about poker series. It includes a first for India: a poker bracelet. However, this was not a bracelet event, and the winners had to contend with a medal.
The poker action was intense, and Bhansali clawed his way to the top, beginning with a medium stack. At one point, Bhansali had 1,99,000 chips, which rose to 6,90,000 as gameplay went on, showing the route that Bhansali took to come to the top. Bhansali locked in heads-up play with Himanshu Arora, who took ₹3,19,403.
The story of the two showing their skills is all out here in the cards that were dealt. On the hand that would be the final, Bhansali had 2 ♣ 9 ♠, and Himanshu had A ♣ Q ♦ .
All eyes were on what cards the board would spring, and the game concluded with 7 ♦ 2 ❤ 6 ❤ 7 ♠ 2 ♠

This should be a great achievement for Bhansali, as the only other time he has seen cash in a poker tournament is at the NLH—BPT Big Bounty event of Baazi Poker Tour March 2022, Goa, where he took home ₹172,500, placing 6th on the winner’s list, So this win also makes it his career-best until now and at the time of writing this article.
Other popular poker players participated in the event, including Himanshu Arora, who at one point led the chip count. Ankit Jajodia also narrowly missed the call to the final table, and Gagandeep Malik exited in 14th place, taking home ₹40,469 for his efforts. With so many big names in the list of winners, Ankit has truly arrived by topping it.
It’s refreshing to see a young poker player win a close-fought poker game and ship it, as that will obviously create more confidence for himself, but also for other aspiring poker players to take their skills and show them at some of the biggest poker series, both national and international.
