Angad Kaura Ships DPT Rush At DPT Xpress 2025

DPT XPress 2025 has begun, and news about the winners of the various events is trickling in. The tournament began on the 6th of February 2025 and will culminate on the 10th of February. Angad Kaura is the first winner to come out of the tournament events, shipping the DPT Rush event. He took home ₹₹8,68,056 (~₹8 Lakh).

This is definitely an excellent achievement for Kaura, as according to Hendon Mob, his best live cash before this was ₹16,098 at the NLH Bounty event of the Deltin Poker Tournament in 2017. Research suggests that it might have been his only cash at a Live poker event prior to this one. The first winner of the tournament is relatively unknown, reinforcing the idea that such home-grown poker tournaments are the best launchpads and learning experiences for young and upcoming poker players and a great experience for even those well-versed in the game and industry. The DPT Xpress is the first Deltin Poker Tour tournament for DPT in 2025. It is currently taking place at the Deltin Royale in Goa. The tournament includes ten events, including one Freeroll game. Deltin Poker Tournament has been at the forefront of the Indian poker industry for years. In January 2016, Deltin Royale hosted the first Deltin Poker Tournament in collaboration with Adda52; the tournament had another outing in November of the same year. In 2017, the tournament’s overall GTD was ₹1 Crore, with the ME having a GTD of 55 Lakh. In the same year, the third iteration of Deltin Poker Tournament’s GTD had increased to ₹2 Crore. The signature Deltin Poker Tournament returned in 2019 and made a post-pandemic splash in October 2023. Since then, DPT has hosted multiple poker tournaments in India, including the DPT Colossus Super High Roller Series and DPT Xpress. 

Deltin has a strong presence in Goa, Sikkim, and the Union Territories of Daman and Diu, as well as several legal offshore and on-land casinos. Delta Corp has three offshore floating casinos: Royale, Jaqk, and Kings Casino. In South Goa, Deltin Zuri and The Zuri White House Sand Resorts are located. In Sikkim, Deltin Denzong and Denong Regency are located. It now remains to be seen what Deltin has in store for poker fans in India.
