Anant Purohit takes down Mega Freeze on SSS Day 6

Spartan Super Series (SSS) is currently being hosted by Spartan Poker, one of the most popular online gaming websites in the country. And yesterday was the 6th day of the high-stakes series guaranteeing huge amounts. The biggest tournament was Mega Freeze which is scheduled to take place every Saturday. Here is the complete summary of SSS Day 6…

SSS Event #32 INR 50k GTD

With a buy-in of INR 110, the first event of the day attracted a massive number of 614 entries, the guarantee was surpassed, creating a prize pool of INR 61,400 which was later shared among the top 39 players, each receiving a min-cash of INR 423. Topping this marvelous field was Ram Kakkar aka ‘TheLagLawyer’ emerging victoriously. After the final hand of the tournament, Kakkar was carrying a larger stack and settled for a deal, taking home the first-place prize money of INR 9,924 while ‘Santa fokhir’ ended up in the second position.

SSS Event #33 Afternoon Showdown INR 4 Lakhs

The players witnessed a shoot up in the buy-in INR 2,200 which attracted 218 players. A prize pool of INR 4,36,000 was created after the guaranteed amount was surpassed to be distributed among the top 17 players receiving a minimum payout of INR 6,845. It was ‘Klopp’ who triumphed the evening bagging an enormous sum of prize money only after he defeated ‘bahubali007’ in heads-up.

In Level #37, blinds at 8,000/16,000 ante 2,000, ‘Klopp’ (Ad 4s) entered the final hand with 848k chips playing against ‘bahubali007’ 786k (Kh 3c). 3h Ac 7h on the flop, the latter bets 16k and gets a call from the former. With 9c 2s turn and river, both players slow-playing check and ‘Klopp’ won by a higher pair of Aces than ‘bahubali007’ holding single pair 33.

SSS Event #34 Afternoon Hi-Fi INR 3 Lakhs GTD

A total of 302 players entered the Afternoon Hi-Fi for a buy-in of INR 1,100. The prize pool was later shared among the top 24 places being paid a minimum amount of INR 3,020. Topping this field was ‘Neptune’ carrying a larger stack and settling for a 3-way deal, taking home the handsome first-place prize money while ‘MansaMusa’ ended up in the official runner-up position.

SSS Event #35 Mega Freeze INR 7.5 Lakhs GTD

Spartan Poker hosts Mega Freeze every Saturday and this popular featured tournament attracts several known players of the country. Yesterday with a buy-in of INR 5,500, a total of 150 players entered the tournament. The prize pool was divided among the top 17 players, each receiving a minimum amount of INR 11,775. A well-known player in virtual felts, Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro’ topped the field after beating ‘AjaySK’ in the heads-up battle settling for the runner-up position. Purohit won the tournament adding another precious title to his poker cabinet.

SSS Event #36 Hi-Fi INR 6 Lakhs GTD

Hi-Fi has always been the last tournament in the SSS series recently. The event offered a sum of 6 Lakhs GTD, enticing a total of 400 players, each chipping in INR 1650 buy-in. The prize pool was drawn to be shared among the top 36 places being paid a min-cash of INR 3,900. The star at the end of the day was Tejas Shirdhankar aka ‘Hunterrr’ who shipped the tournament adding a valuable title to his poker career.

In Level #39, blinds at 10,000/20,000 ante 2,500, 5 players enter the final hand with Shirdhankar carrying the largest stack and the players settling for a 5-way deal. Shirdhankar emerged as the winner of the night and added a healthy prize money to his poker bankroll.

SSS – The Millionaire – Day 1B

The most awaited Millionaire tournament wrapped up Day 1B attracting a total of 180 players entering for a buy-in INR 11,000. Amassing the largest stack was ‘Sangahi’ finishing the day with 214,946 chips, closely followed by the well-known player picking plenty of titles so far, Deepak Bothra aka ‘chimpoo’ bagging 201,896 chips leading to Day 2 for the showdown.
