The Saturday night Hustler Casino Live special celebrity game was bonkers — one of the more thrilling nights of poker ever witnessed on a live-streamed game for those who love mad action. Out of the dozens of insane hands played between the contenders, one in particular stood out. This hand involved one of the most popular athletes in the world — Neymar Jr — and Hustler Casino Live fan favourite Alan Keating.
Early in the session, which lasted about eight hours, Fortnite legend and Twitch streamer Ninja slow-rolled boxer Ryan Garcia, a gutsy move that would make Shaun Deeb will definitely be proud of. Six hours later, that epic hand was topped in terms of entertainment value and drama.
The hand began with a loose play as boxer Chris Eubank Jr. raised to $1,000 from an early position holding 6♦ 5♠. Ninja followed behind him with K♦ 10♣, along with Neymar and his 9♣ 5♥. Keating, from the button position three-bet it to $5,000 with A♦ 4♦ and received calls from all three players.
THE MOST EPIC HAND IN POKER HISTORY!!@neymarjr makes an incredible hero call vs @Mister_Keating for $199,000!!
But wait, @Mister_Keating says let’s keep running the river for:
– $50K more
– another $50K
– another $50k
– $75K more
– $60K more
– and finally another $75K pic.twitter.com/MEttxASTpM— Hustler Casino Live (@HCLPokerShow) June 23, 2024
When the flop showed 9♦ 2♣ Q♦, only Keating, who had a flush draw, felt great about things in a four-way pot. At this point, it appeared the hand wouldn’t go much further. But god no, the hand went berserk. Action checked to Keating, who made a standard half-pot bet of $10,000. Ninja and Neymar called to see the 6♠ on the turn. The first two players checked, and this time Keating ripped all-in, having both opponents covered.
Ninja moved out of the way, but Neymar, a PokerStars ambassador, made a brilliant call for $74,400 with only the 9-pair, which was actually the best hand. Both players agreed to run the river twice, and the first one — 3♦ — went Keating’s way. On the second run out — 5♣ — Neymar secured the other half of the pot. But then Keating’s madness kicked in and onlookers in a way dropped their jaws looking at what followed.
Keating offered his opponent a third flip for $50,000 on the side each. The dealer then turned over the Q♥, giving Neymar the $100,000 side pot. “One more for fifty,” Keating offered, hoping to get his money back. Once again, the dealer turned over a river card, this one the J♥, another $50,000 profit for the soccer legend. But was Keating done? Hell no! “One more time,” he pleaded.
👀👀👀@Angry_Polak: Who’s the most aggressive player?@neymarjr: Alan. He’s dangerous! 👀

For the third straight time, the river — J♣ — was clean for Neymar. But Keating wasn’t ready to stop despite being down $150,000 on the hand. He wanted to flip again, to which his opponent happily obliged. And like the first three side pot flips, the 2♥ on the next try was good for Neymar, but the fourth flip was for $75,000 a piece.
Why stop now? Keep going, Keating must have thought Keating. He asked for yet another flip, this one for $60,000 each. He couldn’t possibly lose again, right? Wrong. The fifth side pot river card was the 9♠, a brick again. For the love of god, please stop or someone make him stop! Keating kept going. The Hustler Casino Live regular then moved all-in for $75,000 on one final flip, which turned out to be another brick — 10♠. As Hustler Casino Live commentator Christian Soto said, “(Neymar) stacked Keating in flips.”
If you’re scoring at home, Keating, who had a flush draw with an over card, won the first river run out before losing seven consecutive rivers, including six side pot flips. In total, Keating lost $360,000 flipping against a football pro. When the show wrapped at around 1:30 AM on Sunday morning, Neymar Jr was the biggest winner in the game with a $306,000 profit, thanks to the river cards blessing him. Keating was the biggest loser obviously, with $478,850 down the drain.
Dan Bilzerian, who made his first public poker game appearance in years, booked a $24,000 win, but he was up more than $150,000 at one point. Ninja, one of the competitors in the legendary May 2022 Hustler Casino Live “MrBeast Game,” lost over $90,000.
