After Kickoff win, Ashish Ahuja leads 33 in BPT Highroller

It was just a couple of nights back that Ashish Ahuja won the Kick Off title at the ongoing Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) at Casino Pride 2 in Goa. The celebrations would’ve only just begun, and he’s made news once again, this time leading in the BPT 100k Highroller at the same series. 118 entries registered and at the end of Day 1, Ahuja had the largest chip stack among the 33 survivors.

However, this won’t be the final count as late registration is still on at the PokerBaazi LIVE poker room, until the start of Level 17 on Day 2. Ahuja progressed to Day 2 with a towering stack of 601,000 and his nearest competitor right now is Raghav Bansal with 460,000 and it’s safe to say that these two are among the best poker pros in the country at the moment.

However, they’re not alone as there are plenty of other known pros in contention like Abhishek Rathod (420k), PokerBaazi CEO Navkiran Singh (410k), Rajat Sharma (343k), Vivek Rughani (323k), Ashish Munot (274k), Zarvan Tumboli (267k), Abhishek Goindi (254k), 10k Kickoff runner-up Sriharsha D (215k), Adda52 Pro Kunal Patni (126k), Siddharth Karia (122k), Ankit Wadhawan (105k), Eka Vedantham (102k), and many others.

Given the deep stacked structure of this highroller, don’t be surprised if some of the shorter stacked players chip up during the day. One thing we know for sure is that it’s going to be a lot of fun when Day 2 resumes and we will mostly play down to a winner, resuming at 2pm today!

Day 1 top 10 chip counts:

  1. Ashish Ahuja – 601,000
  2. Raghav Bansal – 460,000
  3. Rohit Mishra – 454,500
  4. Abhishek Rathod – 420,000
  5. Navkiran Singh – 410,500
  6. Anmol Mehta – 349,000
  7. Rajat Sharma – 343,500
  8. Vivek Rughani – 323,000
