Adtiya Chaudhary beats Kartik Ved to win Sunday SuperStack

The Destiny 7.0 Finale SnG happened yesterday and the winner turned out to be Sriharsha Doddapaneni playing under ‘GTOsucks’ all this while, there was another big tournament taking place side-by-side on The Spartan Poker – the highly popular Sunday SuperStack INR 25 Lakhs GTD.

The tournament had a buy-in of INR 5,500 and attracted a total playing field of 366 entries (including 94 re-entries). The long haul from 7.30 pm last evening to 2.46 am to today morning saw the field whittle down to one player, the champion Aditya Chaudhary aka ‘S1ckB3at’. He took home a nice 1st place cash prize of INR 6,86,400 for his victory. He was also playing in the Destiny SnG simultaneously and finished 2nd, narrowly missing a double. He told us later, “I stood 2nd in SnG which was very tilting for mebut SuperStack was good, so tilt controlled.

The heads-up battle saw him pitted against a well-known grinder Kartik Ved aka ‘TheInternetKid’ who must’ve given some tough competition. Ved took home INR 4,22,400 for his runner-up finish. The last hand of the tournament happened at Level 50 (blinds at 75k/150k/ante 18,750). Chaudhary had already accumulated almost 6:1 chip lead entering this hand and Ved had no choice but to go all-in pre-flop with Ad 3d against Chaudhary’s 7s Ah.

Chaudhary made the call. The board of 4c 9h Qc 2d Ks returned nothing for both. He won with the higher 7-Kicker. He, after his win, reacted by saying, “Unfortunately I was forced to play heads-up with 2 very tough opponents. Doddapaneni in the SnG and Ved in the SuperStack, but, am really happy to be on the right side in at least one of those!

Chaudhary has been playing online since a long time and has an impressive record. As we mentioned, he was among the SnG finalists yesterday. He had made it to the Destiny SnG Table before, in July 2018 under Destiny 5.0. He couldn’t bag the package there but had won a wholesome INR 4,85,650. He has title wins on other major platforms as well, such as his Bout win on PokerBaazi last month. After so many wins, his already brimming bankroll will see another addition and he’ll be looking to continue this winning trend for the rest of the year as well.

As the tournament is one of the most reputed ones on Spartan, online regulars flocked to it in good number. Some of them who ranked within the top 50 paid places were Rubin Labroo (7th), IOPC SHR winner Gokul Raj (13th), Varun Gupta (20th), Pulkit Goyal (23rd), IOPC Millionaire winner Joey Saha (30th), Sumit Sapra (35th), best Indian WSOP ME finisher Nishant Sharma (36th), recent Elite winner Chandan Arora (37th), Neel Joshi (38th), Anant Purohit (42nd) and MadOverPoker Pro Zarvan Tumboli (44th).
