Aditya Agarwal 2nd in Chip Lead in APPT Macau Main Event

We have been continuously following the 2018 APPT (Asia Pacific Poker Tour) Macau tournament series that was scheduled between 14th and 25th March 2018. The opening event was won by Ho Lun Pang for HKD 265,600 and the stakes kept getting higher after that.

Female poker pro Kristen Bicknell won the APPT Macau High Roller and it was a huge achievement by her. Incidentally, it was her boyfriend Alex Foxen who won the APPT Super High Roller not too long later, and this poker couple is definitely walking away from Macau a lot richer.

Here, we’re reporting the APPT Macau Main Event, an HKD 40,000 buy-in event which kicked off on 19th March. The event saw a total of 356 entries (153 on Day 1A, 179 on Day 1B, 24 entries on Day 2) and a massive prizepool of HKD 12,984,032 was created, to be shared among the top 41 finishers with a min-cash of HKD 71,000.

A lot of Indian players were in attendance at the APPT Macau, but they haven’t managed to score big in any of the events so far. However, this may just be their best chance with one Indian among the last 13 survivors, going into the fifth day of the Main Event – Aditya Agarwal!

PokerStars Team Pro, Agarwal, has been one of the best Indian poker players over the years and he has the chance to make his already impressive poker portfolio even more impressive by winning the APPT Macau Main Event, for the top prize of HKD 3,095,000 (~INR 2.56 crore) that’s up for grabs. He has ended Day 4 with the second largest chip stack, only behind Thailand’s Phanlert Sukonthachartnant.

Indian players had a good run in this tournament, with Sahil Chuttani busting at 15th place (HKD 167,500) and Sumit Sapra busting at 32nd place (HKD 84,000).
