Michael Addamo Becomes The Chip Lead In GGPoker Super MILLION$

The 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online is on everyone’s mind right now, but there’s another colossal tournament that needs some attention as well. Only nine players are in the running for the $325,957 top prize in the GGPoker Super MILLION$.

Michael Addamo, a three-time Super MILLION$ champion, has a massive chip lead in Season 2’s sixth final table. Addamo has enough chips in his stack to double-up any of his eight opponents. The Australian, who lives in Canada, has 4,561,766 chips, or 114 large blinds. With a stack of 2,182,049, Isaac Haxton is Addamo’s closest rival (54 big blinds).

On July 7, Haxton took home $3,93,262 as the winner of this tournament. He subsequently finished second for an extra $2,01,950 on July 18, indicating that he is in excellent form. Thanks to his recent stellar results, Haxton qualified for this event through a $1,000 satellite.

Aleksejs Ponakovs is in third place at the restart. The highroller regular sold 10.8% of his action to 18 stakers at a 1.1 mark-up, giving him the most extensive rail of the nine finalists. Ponakovs has now reached the final table of six Super MILLION$ events but did not win any so far. Ponakovs received $2,73,207 for his second-place finish on November 22, 2020. Is this the week when Ponakovs finally wins?

Ludovic “Gr4vyB04t” Geilich earned two $1,000 satellites in this game, giving him two chances to win. The popular grinder made good use of his second bullet, which helped him finish fourth in chips at the final table. Geilich last played in a Super MILLION$ final table on November 1, 2020, finishing fourth for $1,50,212. He’ll be wishing for a similar result this time.

“Judd Trump,” the former Super MILLION$ winner, is back in the game, coming in fifth in the chip count. On June 14, Judd Trump won the Super MILLION$ Anniversary Edition, boosting his bankroll by a massive $9,76,379! He takes a seat and has 30.3 large blinds at his disposal.

Look down in the sixth position to discover Yuri Dzivielevski, another player on the final table who has won previously. Dzivielevski took first place in this tournament on March 23 and has made it to the final table nine times! Last week, he made it to the final table, but he was the first player to leave the table. A similar performance from the Brazilian superstar is unlikely tonight.

Francisco Benitez of Uruguay has made it to the Super MILLION$ final table for the first time, albeit in seventh place with a 23 sizable blind stack. Benitez is on his sixth Super MILLION$ cash, and he needs to finish eighth or better to beat his personal highest.

Sosia “Aunty Ninja” Jiang of New Zealand aims to become the first female Super MILLION$ champion, but she will have to slog hard. Jiang returns to the felt with 22 great blinds, which isn’t particularly low, but it’s far from ideal considering her opponents. On the other hand, Jiang knows her way around a poker table and is capable of wreaking havoc.

Bert Stevens was the last man standing when the cards were pitched on August 3 at 6:00 PM BST. Stevens has earned almost $9,00,000 from this tournament alone, owing partly to the $3,93,262 he received for his victory on September 27, 2020.
