Paul has been going from strength to strength in his poker career. He first had a cash-out in 2017, when he stood 4th in the NLG Kick-Off event of the Deltin Poker Tournament in Panjim, Goa, taking home $4,225. Since then, he has played poker at several venues globally, including the Asian Poker League in 2018, and he has had multiple World Series of Poker (WSOP) outings in 2020, 2022, and 2024. His best live cash was in 2023, at WSOP in Las Vegas, at the Event 76 NLH – Main Event, where he took home $32,500.

Paul’s wins are formidable, and it seems to be only a matter of time before he will be among the poker greats when it comes to all-time money and best cash-outs. Gutshot Magazine offers its congratulations to Abhishek and wishes him all the best in his future endeavours. He has played in India on multiple occasions, at the Deltin Poker Tournament, once in 2017 and then in 2024. In 2017, he placed 4th at the NLH event, adding $4,225 to his bank balance. In 2024, he won $33 at Event #8.

He was also on the money list at the Baazi Poker Tour, where he placed 6th and 26th, taking home $13,768 and $2,527 at the BPT Main Event and the High Roller Event, respectively.

It is always interesting to see younger poker players make their name at global events. Such incidents not only increase their confidence but also inspire other players who are looking to make their way to those major poker tournaments.

Poker Dream is one of the most popular poker tournaments, and its 13th iteration, which was held in Malaysia in November this year, got some of the hottest names from the poker industry at their felts. The Main Event saw an Indian, Nishant Sharma, take the title home with a cash prize of RM 930,800. Earlier, Sharma shipped the Mystery Bounty Event, taking home RM 136,000.
