Abhishek Goindi And Muskan Sethi Pack A Punch At The G.O.A.T Event

We all know about the ₹7 Crore GTD Greatest of Tournaments (G.O.A.T) which was hosted on PokerBaazi between 30th Oct – 6th Nov 2022. The winner of this heavy duty tournament was the Bangalore resident Kumar Chandra Rohit who added a blockbuster sum of ₹94,69,000 to his bank account. The G.O.A.T winner who’s an Associate Director, Data Sciences with Walmart walked the red carpet of the winners felicitation ceremony like a boss. With a prize pool of ₹7.2 Crore, the competition only got fierce with 7,233 entries vying for the top spot which also meant grabbing boatloads of cash.

The winners felicitation ceremony was held at Baazi Games’ New Delhi office, where the PokerBaazi Game Ambassadors Abhishek Goindi and Muskan Sethi also joined the gala. Both the Indian pros packed a punch at the ceremony wherein Kumar received the G.O.A.T winner’s chain. The runner-up (Puneet Sachan – ₹68,73,418 prize money) and second runner-up (Anmol Mehta – ₹31,51,848 prize money) were also felicitated at the high voltage event.

We spoke to Goindi to know about his thoughts on the felicitation ceremony which was a significant step in going mainstream. The PokerBaazi Game Ambassador said, “The G.O.A.T tournament was a huge moment in Indian poker history, for multiple reasons. The attempt of hosting a massive event like G.O.A.T, attracting a rock solid entry pool, and seeing how the market responded to such an event, all of which reflect on how the poker industry is growing at the moment. Going mainstream paired with media coverage, the grand reception, and everyone feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment is very crucial. Getting recognised and rewarded in poker helps the players and the game positively apart from the brand receiving mainstream visibility.”

We also spoke to Muskan Sethi (PokerBaazi Game Ambassador) about her views on the felicitation ceremony for the G.O.A.T winners. The poker dynamo said, “Being at the PokerBaazi – Greatest of All Tournaments (G.O.A.T) felicitation ceremony was a unique experience. For poker players across the country, while we win, we hardly get to see such a warm and grand celebration for the players. I could visibly see the elation on the faces of the winners, and it was an experience worth the while. I am glad to see that PokerBaazi is constantly adding to their efforts bringing poker to the forefront and adding the element of glory to it.”

Well, talking about the overall G.O.A.T experience, it was a pure spectacle that PokerBaazi pulled off. Players came in big numbers and went all guns blazing on the virtual felts and finally the smashing event found it winners for all to see.
