Gagandeep Malik leads Day 1B of the BPT Main Event

Friday night was an exciting one at the poker room of Goa’s Casino Pride 2, where the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) is currently underway. We had two tournaments running simultaneously including the 100k High Roller which was won by Rohit Jinwal and the much-awaited INR 50k Main Event, which saw its second starting flight take place.

Day 1A of the Main Event was played online on PokerBaazi a few days back where Prabhat Kiran Mukherjea ended as the chip leader among 11 survivors from the field of 80 entries. Each paid the buy-in of INR 50,000 and Mukherjea ended with a stack of 722,851 chips.

On Day 1B last night, we saw a field of 174 entries by the time registration closed at the end of Level 7. From this field, 26 players managed to grab a bag and from them, 31-year old Gagandeep Malik emerged as the chip leader with a stack of 545,000 chips. Close behind him are Dhaval Mudgal (459k) and Abhishek Goindi (334k) rounding up the top 3 stacks.

Other known entities to progress from this flight are Haider Madraswala (311k), Ashish Munot (296k), Vasim Rozani (256k), Manish Gandhi (252k), Maria Kirloskar (238k) and Raghav Bansal (103k). PokerStars Team Pro Muskan Sethi also managed to take forward a stack of 37,000 to Day 2.
