A win at the Wynn 200k for Chris Moorman

With most of the focus on WSOP action at the Rio after a handful of bracelets have been claimed, we travel to the Wynn where Chris Moorman binked another tournament, adding $56K to his swelling bankroll. As most are aware, that bankroll was built primarily online, with Moorman cashing for more money ($14 million) in online poker tournaments than any other player. But the 888poker ambassador has also cashed for over $5 million in the realm of live poker, his latest title won while holding 10-3 offsuit in the final hand.

His victory in the Wynn Summer Classic followed a 30th place finish in the WSOP $3,000 NLHE Shootout (Event #3) for $6,302. Moorman’s fans can rest assured that the Brit will continue vying for WSOP gold bracelet no. 2 this summer, his first coming last year in a $3K NLHE 6-handed event for $498,682.

We can expect to see Chris grab a seat in more 6-handed WSOP action. He relayed his preference for the shorter tables to PokerNews recently, “I feel really comfortable in six-max, I have a good track record in it,” Moorman said. “You can get a little more creative and you don’t have to just cooler people.” Moorman topped a field of 242 players who each invested $1,100 to enter the Wynn tournament, creating a prize pool of $240,608.
