Indian poker players are in the thick of the action at the current iteration of the World Series of Poker, WSOP 2025. As news trickles in about ITM players, Indian names pop up consistently. Now, Nipun Java has passed out of the race at Event #16 of WSOP 2026, taking home $1,201.

Java is one of the highest-rated poker players in India and holds the 4th rank among Indian poker players. His career total cash-in is around $3 Million. His highest one-time cash is $270,500, which he took in 2015 at the World Series of Poker Event #46. He also has 3 WSOP titles to his name.

Nipun joins the quickly increasing list of Indians making money at the WSOP 2025. Earlier, Bhargav Kakani and Sameer Chaturvedi made cash at different events in the World Series of Poker 2025.

Nipun Java has been around the live poker scene for years now. His first live cash was in 2009, at the Grand Poker Series, when he ranked second and took home $9,620.  That he ranked 2nd in the very first recorded live game gives an idea of his skill at poker.
