888 introduces new poker platform

Online gaming operator 888 Holdings has just expanded their offerings by launching a next-generation poker platform called ‘Poker 8’. Anyone who uses 888poker.com network will be eligible to play on this new platform. The new platform promises to offer an engaging and a comprehensive user experience to its players.

Poker 8 will be unveiled in multiple phases in coming months. The first phase will involve the upgrade the existing 888poker tables and refurbished for the new desktop players with enhanced graphics and what not.

Guy Cohen, Senior VP of B2C at 888 Holdings said, “Over the coming months, all players will benefit from additional upgrades and improvements to our next generation poker platform and we’ll be taking on board customer feedback about the new features.”

Further updates will gradually include improved graphics and enhancements to the lobby and the mobile platform. The company acquired JPL Group’s Mandalay this month to enhance its bingo offering.

888 Holdings has seen growth in the last few months. World Poker Tour DeepStacks (WPTDS), the world-famous live poker tour has partnered with 888 for two of its stops in Europe, Malta and Portugal, in 2019.

In December last year, the company was also granted a gaming license to operate in Sweden. 888 Holdings, with these developments, has been increasing their presence worldwide, especially Europe, where its already a strong entity. They also recently acquired AAPN for $28 million.
