5 of the Most Epic Trophies in Poker

Having a shelf decorated with trophies is the most coveted décor of any home. It is a kick-ass conversation starter and a chance to show-off in front of your friends and/or relatives. Winning a trophy, or better yet, trophies in any field, be it sports or academia, is a rather hefty accomplishment. It’s is a testament to the fact that you are obviously good at what you do.

Poker has always had a reputation to stand out of the ordinary. Poker players have set some of the weirdest benchmarks in clothing and accessories. So when it comes to winning Poker trophies, you can expect some of the most bizarre yet attractive souvenirs. Here, we’ve listed 5 trophies that took the cream.

1. Chip Reese Trophy

Awarded to the winner of the $50,000 Poker Player’s Championship. The Chip Reese Memorial Trophy honours the first winner of the $50k H.O.R.S.E. Event in 2006 (i.e. David ‘Chip’ Reese himself). The massive trophy has the name of every winner of the event from 2006 to present and is topped by a representation of Reese’s winning hand from 2006.

2. WSOP Main Event Bracelet

The WSOP Main Event Bracelet is extraordinary. Just to talk about how extravagant the trophy of the ‘Unofficial World Championship of Poker’ is somewhat surreal. Here’s a quick look though, the 2016 Main Event bracelet consisted of 25.5 carats of white diamonds, 14.8 carats of black diamonds, 3.8 carats of rubies and 427 grams of gold. It was valued at over $500,000, equivalent to a little over 3.18Cr.

3. L.A Poker Classic

Often referred to as one of the coolest trophies in Poker, the L.A Poker Classic trophy is rewarded to winner of any event at the Tournament. The iconic bronze trophy is one of the more unique trophies in the game. It doesn’t matter whether you win a low stakes game or the Main Event; you get one of these epic trophies. Wish all poker trophies were this cool.

4. Championship Belt (WPT)

World Championships in boxing and in the WWE universe have awesome looking championship belts. If some of the most famous sports in the world are giving out championship belts, poker cannot be far away. The World Poker Tour is presently the most famous poker tour giving out belts to its champions. If getting your own WPT Title Belt wasn’t enough, how about getting your own WPT Title Belt with your name inscribed on it.

5. Battle of Malta Trophy

Poker is war for some players. They regularly battle at the tables to reign supreme. The PokerListings Battle of Malta highlights this fact with an epic trophy to its winners. The trophy is designed differently each year, although, what remains constant is that it features some type of medieval knight that looks battle-ready. This is definitely a trophy you would want to display on your shelf or as a piece of décor.
