Online grinder Shardul Parthasarathi aka ‘F – Bomb’ defeated Dheeraj Kumar Bairineni aka ‘danial13’ in heads-up to take down Afternoon Showdown yesterday. A total of 346 entries registered in the field after paying INR 2,200 as buy-in which led to the creation of final prize pool which was shared among the top 31 finishers. Parthasarathi was the last man standing after the tournament came to end in level 46 and bagged the winner’s prize money.
The buy-in of the third tournament of the day slipped down to INR 1,100 which attracted a total of 419 runners. Out of which only the top 40 places received a min-cash, a share from the prize pool and the one to take home the biggest share was Danny Desai aka ‘Danny132’ while his opponents ‘punjabisherr’ settled in the second place and ‘Devildareman’ in the third position.
Once again, the buy-in displayed to be INR 1,100 attracting 400 entries while only the top 27 finishers returned home with a share from the final prize pool. Capturing the winner’s title after settling for a heads-up deal was Buhr Advirkar aka ‘Riokid’ while his opponent ‘Thakur615’ ended up earning the second-place payout.
ReCharge is the Monday feature tourney which attracted a massive field of 1,056 entries after each one paid INR 2,200 as buy-in. This number was enough to smash the advertised guarantee and create a juicy INR 21.16 Lakhs in prize pool which was taken away by the top 95 finishers. At the end, it was ‘corona virus’ to top the field and bag the first-place prize money after the players settled for a three-way deal which eventually saw Dhirendra Kumar aka ‘dhiru91’ in the second position.
Circuit popular Manish Lakhotia aka ‘thekid’ topped the field after knocking out ‘borntrouble’ in heads-up in level 38 of the tournament. A total of 131 entries joined the field out of which only 17 received a paycheck while others returned empty handed. Lakhotia bagged the winner’s title after his two pairs of QQ44 remained undefeated over his opponent’s QQ.
The final tournament of the day attracted a pretty good field such that the advertised guarantee was smashed to create INR 5.38 Lakhs in prize pool. Taking home the largest portion of the same was ‘BackdoorMan’ who eliminated ‘silentkamina’ in heads-up with higher pair of JJ over 77. However, the top 47 finishers also ended up earning a payout too.
