Sourav Ganguly Fronts RummyCircle’s “National Rummy Series” Campaign

RummyCircle, has roped in cricketing legend Sourav Ganguly to lead the promotional campaign for its upcoming National Rummy Series (NRS)—a pan-India rummy tournament focused on skill and strategy. The grand finale of the series is set to be showcased through a special five-part show on JioCinema, bringing a reality-show twist to the world of online gaming.

The campaign puts Ganguly at the forefront, inviting rummy players across the country to showcase their mental grit and game sense. A series of short videos featuring him emphasises how rummy requires discipline, planning, and calm decision-making—qualities Ganguly was known for as India’s former cricket captain.

Saroj Panigrahi, COO of Games24x7, said the NRS is an exciting opportunity to celebrate India’s rummy talent at a national level. He described it as a platform where skilled players can compete, rise through the ranks, and earn recognition, not just rewards.

The tournament’s format involves weekly online qualifiers, from which the top 18 players will be selected. These finalists will then be flown in for an exclusive offline finale, hosted by Ganguly himself. Their journey will be captured in a high-stakes reality show-style format, allowing viewers to witness not just the gameplay but the personalities and pressure behind the scenes.

To amplify the campaign, RummyCircle is executing a 360-degree marketing push, covering TV, digital, and OTT platforms. The goal is to reframe how rummy is viewed, positioning it not as casual entertainment but as a competitive skill-based game.

The platform also ensures player safety and integrity through advanced fair play systems, anti-bot technology, and adherence to regulations set by the E-Gaming Federation.
