#PKMKBForever Is Trending On Social Media After India Thrashed Pakistan: In the second game of Asia Cup 2022, we witnessed India defeating Pakistan in a close encounter at Dubai International Stadium. The defeat was disappointing for Pakistan, but it was a relief for Indians as it was a form of revenge for the T20 World Cup 2022. 

Pakistan lost the toss and was forced to bat first. Thanks to Mohammad Rizwan’s 43 from 42 balls, Ifthikar Ahmed’s quick 28 runs, and an unexpected finish from Shahnawaz Dahani, Pakistan and co managed to put in a problematic total of 147 runs. In response, the left-arm young packer Shaheen Afridi got rid of KL Rahul at the first ball.

With the help of Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja’s partnership, India thrashed Pakistan and conquered the game. IND vs PAK is considered the mother of all clashes, and yesterday’s contest exceeded all expectations. Third last ball finish, Jadeja getting bowled in the last over, Pandya smashing essential runs in the second last over, it was a dream contest and was indeed the best India vs Pakistan after the 2007 T20 World Cup. 

The celebration on the field was average from team India’s perspective, as they know that the work is not done yet. However, the celebration off the field (by fans) was massive, and several tweets were trending on Twitter. Among those hashtags was #PKMKBForever is the most tweeted one.

What is #PKMKBForever?

Cricket is considered a gentleman’s game. However, when it comes to IND vs PAK, the gentlemen’s game may forget its standard and post abusive content on social media. Yes, #PKMKBForever is one of them. Being team India’s die-hard fan, I respect and love what team India does. But when it comes to cricket, it’s my responsibility to maintain the standards and respect the game. 

 

 

#PKMKBForever is something that I would never do. With 1,480 tweets, #PKMKBForever is trending on social media. I get the point, our neighbors do the same or maybe even worse than this, but there is a huge difference between the mentalities of both countries. We are blessed to have an arch rivalry in the cricketing world. Like England and Australia, the world media closely looks at India vs Pakistan. It’s good to have a worthy opponent. It’s good to have a rivalry, but it’s not cool to get abusive on social media just to troll a defeated team!
