16:56 IST- Namibia register 12 wicket win!

Heading into the game, Ireland were considered to be the favorites to emerge victorious in the encounter. However, they are bundled out for 127 and suffer a 11 run loss to Namibia in this 4th ICC Warm-Up game.    

16:53 IST- Namibia edging towards victory!

Ireland have just 1 wicket left and need to get 17 in the last over. Only a miracle can save them.

16:50 IST-  Simi Singh Dismissed!

Ireland are virtually out of the game as they are required to score 26 off the last 2 overs. Barry McCarthy joins Lorcan Tucker on the crease with the Ireland’s out now..

16:45 IST- Ireland in Trouble..

The required run rate has crossed 10 and is nearing 11 with just 15 balls left in the innings. All the pressure will be on Lorcan Tucker to get going and take the game away from Namibia in the end stages of the innings.

A solid last over sees Ireland concede just 7 runs with Namibia ending their innings with 138/4. JJ Smit’s 12 ball 18 was well supported by Gerhard Erasmus’s almost run a ball innings of 34 runs from 35 balls. 

14:54 IST- Smit goes BIG as Namibia edge past 130

7 runs off the 18th over and in 13 runs in the penultimate over propels Namibia to a decent score. They will look to finish big and set a competitive total, riding on JJ Smith’s batting.

Namibia’s current Projections sits at 131 with with 3 overs left. While JJ Smit has come out all guns blazing, Erasmus still has a strike rate under 100 in the end overs. 110/4!

Nicol Loftie-Eaton 15 (18) has taken a back seat after the fall of Michael van Lingens wicket during the ongoing NAM vs IRE clash.  Gerhard Erasmus 2(9) is also struggling against Ireland.

Current Projections of Namibia’s first innings scores predicts the minnows to score 114 at the end of their innings. The score board currently reads as 57/2 with 10 overs gone.

Namibia have found some momentum with Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton looking to go for the big shots in the few overs. 41/1 as we head closer to the half way stage of the first innings.

Questions have been raised over Michael van Lingen’s innings as the opener finds himself scoring just 10 runs off 20 balls so far. he has clearly struggled to get going in this game. 

13:50 IST- Namibia look to steady the ship

Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton and Michael van Lingenare on the crease and have taken a cautious approach in the first five overs. The score board reads as 31/1 with just one over left in powerplay.

13:45 IST- Ireland get the first  break through 

Barry McCarthy gets rid of Divan la Cock as Stephen Doheny completes the catch. 17/1 after 3 overs.

Namibia have managed to score just 9 runs off the first two overs, They will look to accelerate soon with 5 off those runs coming off extras.

Namibia and Ireland are set to lock horns against each other in the upcoming warm-up match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Both the teams square off in the fourth T20 World Cup game on 11th October as they begin preparing for the highly awaited ICC event in Australia.  Let’s have a look at the NAM vs IRE match details. 

NAM vs IRE Team Form

Both teams will head into the tournament with contrasting forms in this game. Namibia took part in the Cricket World Cup League Two 2019-23 where they managed to record a 5th place finish, registering 13 wins and nine losses at the end of 22 matches.

Ireland, on the other end, will head into the game after playing a five-match T20I series against Afghanistan. Despite losing the series, they won the final match and will head into the ICC Warm-Up game with confidence under their belly. A 3-2 series loss, with George Dockrell winning the Player of the Series, will see Ireland rely on their experienced players to keep their positive momentum going.
